Hey Tom,

great to see you are giving polyphasic sleep a try. I can understand your frustration after oversleeping, having tried to adapt to polyphasic sleep myself several times. You might find Puredoxyk's "Ubersleep Book" and interesting read, as it contains many tips for successfully adapting.

I want to have another shot at it myself in a couple of weeks. Reading the book I already discovered some flaws in my previous failed attempts. I'll try to implement a zero tolerance policy regarding oversleeping, since that was my biggest problem the last time.

Currently I'm already napping several times a day. I set my timer to 22 minutes which works pretty well for me. Usually I can fall asleep within 3 to 7 minutes. I'm also experiencing dreams during those naps and wake up refreshed most of the times. Most naps seem to last longer than 20 minutes and some even seem to last for hours.

All this is very unusual for me, since I normally have problems falling asleep. Altogether I have a good feeling about my upcoming trial, I just have to finish some work before I can start.

Bye,
Joachim

PS: Are you attending Steve's next workshop? Being polyphasic in Vegas sure would be fun. You could fit in lots of activity while everybody else is hibernating :)
